Special Appeals are a kind of posing while performing a live show, that shows off the idol's charm point and speciality. They are used to glamourize the stage and get the audience's excitement level high. They vary upon idol to idol, based on 2 things: The idol's attribute, and the rarity of the coord she is wearing. In the Data Carddass game, performing Special Appeals increase a player's score by a certain amount, depending on the rarity of the outfit, the timing of the appeal and the appeal type itself.
In the Anime[]
Special appeals in the anime are performed with the idol practicing hard to practice poses, then successfully implementing it during the live. The idol is prompted at the end of the live to perform an appeal by the system, and if the idol fails to pose right on prompt, the appeal will fail. Special Appeals usually involve jumps or posing, and when the idol successfully performs the appeal a background will tailor itself to the idol type and complete the appeal.
Data Carddass Game[]
During a live show, the player is prompted to perform 3 Special Appeals. A normal type- appeal would require the player to swipe up a row of horizontally placed stars on the mini screen on the main console. A special appeal of higher rarity is performed differently, based on what appeal it is.Successfully performed Special Appeals award the player with bonus points and rewards.(See:Data Carddass Aikatsu Friends!)
